(2026)(Book 34 in the Ettie Smith Amish Mystery series)
A novel by Samantha Price
The only witness to a murder won't stop talking!
Ettie Smith has found the perfect Christmas present for her sister. Elsa-May has already said no.No more pets. And certainly not Tall Tales, the African grey parrot who repeats everything he hears.
Ettie plans to bring him home anyway. Then she finds a man from the animal shelter dead, and the police have no witnesses.
Ettie thinks they might have one.
Tall Tales has started saying things he never said before. Words that aren't his. Voices Ettie recognizes. Could something buried in the parrot's endless chatter point to a killer?
When someone comes looking for Tall Tales and the parrot suddenly disappears, Ettie knows she has to find him. But if someone really is trying to silence the only witness, finding Tall Tales could lead Ettie straight to a murderer.
Christmas is days away. A killer is close. And Elsa-May still hasn't said the bird can stay—if they ever find him.
A festive Amish Christmas cozy mystery with elderly sister sleuths, small-town secrets, an unforgettable parrot, and plenty of Christmas charm.
