The woman, who seems lost and confused, isn’t dressed warmly enough for the weather. The missing cat shows up on Elsa’s doorstep later in the day, and she examines the tag on the cat’s collar, searching for an address. Not at all willing to have a stray pet disrupt her orderly existence, Elsa finds the address and immediately puts the cat in her car and drives him home.What she finds when she gets there is chilling and plunges her headfirst into investigating a murder.
