The first time Erik saw me, I was folding laundry. The second time, I was bleeding out in an alley.
A feral vampire should have ended my life that night. Instead, I woke inside the hidden territory of the Iron Claw Pack, alive, newly transformed into a wolf shifter, and under the protection of the alpha who saved me.
Erik is controlled, commanding, and powerful enough to keep every wolf shifter in his territory in line. He also watches me like letting me out of his sight might be the one risk he cannot take.
I do not need an overprotective alpha.
I need answers.
My transformation is not behaving the way it should. My senses are too sharp, my strength is growing too quickly, and even the pack healer cannot explain what is happening in my blood.
Then there is the pull between Erik and me.
His wolf recognized me before I knew wolf shifters existed. Now mine responds to him with an instinct that feels dangerously close to belonging.
That might frighten me more than the transformation.
I've built my entire life around depending on myself. Erik has spent centuries mastering every emotion that could make him vulnerable. Neither of us intends to surrender that control.
But every lesson brings us closer. Every touch makes the distance harder to maintain. And when danger begins closing in around the pack, Erik’s legendary restraint may not survive anyone threatening what his wolf has already chosen.
I used to know exactly what I was.
Now I am something no one has seen before.
And the alpha who saved my life may be the only one capable of surviving what I become.
Set in the same dark world as the Crimson Crescent series, Alpha's Prey begins the Silver Crescent spin-off series, bringing the wolf shifters and a dangerously possessive alpha to the center of the story.
