I’m a defensive end for a reason. I know how to guard what’s mine, especially when it comes to my daughter. No one gets close. I don’t need the drama, and I sure as hell don’t need distractions. So when my little girl’s kindergarten teacher steps in to help out, I’m already on edge. She’s got this sunny smile, a wild social life, and zero respect for my no-nonsense rules. I don’t have time for her party-loving ways—and I definitely don’t have time to deal with the way my pulse kicks up every time she’s near. I need her gone.
