In the halls of Valhalla, a great game is played. To see who will lead the armies during Ragnarök. Each competitor, given a rank to determine their worthiness and their ability. Only things haven’t gone quite to plan.

Loki, having watched it for a millennia, is bored.

Luthor wasn’t the brightest, the smartest, or the most athletic. What he had going for him was an interest in strategy-based video games. With the final click of a mouse, Luthor took the win, and failed to notice he was no longer with the living.

Loki noticed.

Given a choice, a token and a new beginning, young Luthor’s first steps into Valhalla, made him his first enemy. One powerful enough to have Luthor taken out of the game as quickly as he had arrived.

Luthor’s going to have to learn on the fly. Or he, and his pretty companion who seems to know his every thought, aren’t going to last long.

At last, for Loki’s sake. Things weren’t going to be so boring.
