Secondchance Sweetheart
(2026)(The first book in the Brighton Creek Brats series)
A novel by Adaline Raine
I came back to Brighton Creek confident I’d outgrown my pastespecially Sam Brighton.
When I came home after college, I was a new woman. Smarter. Sophisticated. And definitely over Sam. I have no intentions of seeing him again.
Unfortunately for me, Mother Nature has other plans. An unexpected snowstorm sends my trusty, reliable car skidding off the road and me straight into his arms.
Hurt and stranded, I don’t get a say in what happens next. Sam takes control like it’s second naturechecking my injuries, wrapping me in warmth, telling me to breathe while he handles everything else.
Against my better judgment, I agree to stay in town. We fall back into a dynamic that feels dangerously right but that’s what got my heart broken last time.
I keep insisting I’m only here for a visit, but I’m not sure which of us I’m trying to convince. Loving Sam is easytrusting him with my fragile heart again might be the hardest thing I ever do.
Author's note: Originally published as The Medic of Brighton Creek but names, places, and more have been changed and the town expanded. More words, more brats, more love. Tons of new faces to kick off a new series. Added elements of Dd/lg without changing the overall heart.
Genre: Romance
