Life is sweet on Sweetwater Island…until a thief sours things for one of Wendy’s friends.
Tate Goodman’s rental business is abruptly shut down when his shed is broken into and thieves make off with his inventory of beach umbrellas and chairs. Wendy is worried for her friend’s livelihood but she’s even more worried when Tate suggests the whole incident might be a sign that he needs to leave the island.
Determined to keep her friend around, Wendy shifts gears from her blossoming relationship with Asher Ellsworth and immediately begins to investigate. Before long, she discovers a host of people who may have had a vested interest in closing down Tate’s business…and running him off the island.
As Tate continues to sound the alarm about jumping ship, Wendy digs deeper, hoping she can figure out who is responsible before it’s too late.
