Wendy Walker is looking for new customers for her dog walking business, not dead bodies. But she keeps finding them...
Determined to get her new business venture off the ground, Wendy tries to make nice with Poppy Ritter, the owner of the posh, local doggy daycare and spa. Poppy, however, isn't thrilled to have competition for the dollars of Sweetwater Island's pet owners. The animosity between the two women intensifies when Wendy shows up at Poppy's Puppy Palace and stumbles upon a dead body.
Poppy is convinced that Wendy committed the crime to sabotage Poppy's business and name and immediately calls in her husband, the chief of police, to investigate. Wendy realizes that the only way to save her business and her reputation is to figure out who actually committed the crime.
The more she investigates, though, the more she learns that a lot of her fellow islanders just might be the culprit. As she works to uncover hidden secrets and possible motives, she must also contend with something else that's just as problematic: her feelings for two of the men on Sweetwater.
With so much at stake, Wendy knows she needs to act fast.
