This, the fifth book in the Tom Corbett series by "Carey Rockwell" (whoever he was in real life) -- is, like all of the Tom Corbett books, something special. It's another tale of the three young men who serve in the Solar Guard as Space Cadets.
Astro has managed to talk Tom and Roger into coming to Venus for summer vacation. He's got perfect summer work for the three of them: he's got a little business hunting down tyrannosauri and selling the carcasses to restaurants. (The meat, apparently, is considered a delicacy. Ewwww!) But stranger stuff than dinos (imagine that, dinos on Venus!) is on the horizon: before they even leave the station for Venus, they're caught in a bombing, and it'll lead them into the thick of the Venetian resistance. . . !
