Six weeks. One ring. One fake wife who refuses to be anything but real.

Dasha Kell has been called a lot of things. Roman Zolotov's wife was not supposed to be one of them.

When Roman needs a convincing partner for a week in Moscow — an old-world Bratva contact who only deals with married men — he asks Dasha. She says yes in three minutes. She will spend the next six weeks regretting this decision with every part of herself except the part that knows it was the right one.

Dasha is a tattoo artist who says everything too loudly, argues with everything on principle, and has been drawing Roman Zolotov in her sketchpads since October without admitting why. She is not the kind of woman who goes quietly into any situation, fake marriage or otherwise.

Roman is Aleksei Zolotov's younger brother, the man who runs logistics for Chicago's most dangerous Bratva, who makes people like him before they understand what he actually is, and who has been in the area of Dasha's studio with decreasing plausibility since the first Tuesday dinner. He chose alexandrite for the ring. He said it was her. He said it like a fact.

Moscow has an eighty-one-year-old patriarch who can spot a performance from across a dinner table.

They're going to have to be real.

The problem is: they already are.

RECKLESS is a full-length dark Bratva romance set in Chicago and Moscow — explicit, funny, emotionally devastating in places, and built on the specific combustion of two people who are extremely themselves being placed in unavoidable proximity. With a fake marriage that stops being fake before it starts, an old-city contact who sees everything, and a corner booth at a South Side diner that holds all of it together, this is a story about what happens when the scaffolding comes down and the thing underneath was real the whole time.

Content Warning: Dark romance. Explicit sexual content. Fake marriage/relationship. Graphic violence. Strong language throughout. HEA.

The Broken Saints Series — Book Two. Can be read as a standalone. Series reading order recommended.
