Nurse Hopeful

Valerie Clifford was a theatre sister and Guy Marshall a surgeon. Although they worked together almost every day, he appeared not to be aware of her existence, although she loved him deeply. Then Valerie found herself being noticed by the handsome surgeon. He took her out, came to meet her parents and on a memorable Sunday Valerie went to meet his father. That day she experienced near tragedy and plunged from the heights to the depths. There seemed little hope that she would ever regain that brief time of ecstasy, but she was ever hopeful of romance, and love was contagious.
