While pursued by Muhammadan warriors, Jevan, a Knight Hospitaller, finds himself trapped along with one of the Muhammadans in an underground labyrinth. Intent on escaping the labyrinth, Jevan and the Muhammadan accept the help of a trapped burka clad woman whose presence and secrets are as convoluted and as dangerous as they labyrinth itself.
