The dog found the body. Now the whole farm is on the case.

Ivy Galloway came home to Clover Grove for a fresh start, not a murder investigation.

After big-city burnout sends her back to her hometown, HR exec Ivy buys Runaway Farm & Inn, a charming hobby farm she plans to turn into a rustic country retreat. There’s just one problem. She knows more about exit interviews than chicken coops, and can’t tell the difference between an alpaca and a llama.

Then Keats, the border collie she rescued, sniffs out the local dogcatcher’s body in her rye field.

With the police chief, her former high school sweetheart, eyeing her as Suspect #1, Ivy has to dig up the truth before her new life is buried for good. Luckily, she has a brilliant sheepdog, a farm full of nosy animals, and a talent for making suspects talk long enough to trip over the truth.

But the killer isn’t content to let Ivy keep digging. As danger circles closer to Runaway Farm, Ivy may need Keats for more than clues, because this loyal dog is ready to protect her from more than a weak alibi.

The animals don’t talk, but they definitely know things.

If you love funny animal cozy mysteries with smart dogs, quirky characters, small-town secrets, light romance, rescue animals, recipes, and farmyard chaos, start the Bought-the-Farm Mysteries with Dogcatcher in the Rye.
