Burgess, New York, 1850. The second book is "Rose Somerville or Husband's Mystery and A Wife's Devotion" by the author (Rev. R. G., B. A.?) of The First False Step. published by Stringer & Townsend, New York, no date, 148 pps. Boards are green marble with black leather. Spine has gilt rules and titles "Reynolds - Volume XIX - Bronze Statue - Rose sommerville - W. E. Burton". Moderately foxed throughout, previous owner name on white tape inside flyleaf. no other marks.
