In the light of reduced world military tension, the United States and New Zealand move to restructue the dormant ANZUS Agreement and to authorize visitation of U.S. Naval ships without requiring declaration of nuclear weapon status. But as they do so, they inadvertently encounter a nuclear plot initiated decades ago by Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev to undermine the U.S. In its new incarnation, if the plot is successful, tens of thousands of people will die and the U.S. will lose the trust of its allies.

Air Force Major Zach O'Brien, assigned to the National Security Agency, finds himself face-to-face with an international puzzle for which he has neither all the pieces nor the time in which to avert disaster. Dangerous Legacy takes the reader to New Zealand, Russia, Great Britain, Japan, Iraq, and the United States as diverse events reveal a panorama of intrigue, suspense, espionage, and nuclear warfare.
