I’ve officially added ‘alchemist’ to my résumé—and let me tell you, it’s not as glamorous as it sounds.
Between volatile potions, dangerous old journals, and powers I’m still learning to control, I’m doing my best not to burn down my shop… or my house. So when a pair of newcomers from another Hollow ask me to create a philosopher’s stone, my first instinct is to laugh.
My second is to panic.
Because the stone might be the only way to help a young dragon suffering from a hereditary curse—and I’m not exactly a master alchemist. More like a very motivated beginner with a growing collection of dangerous books—and a best friend who keeps volunteering me for things I probably shouldn’t agree to.
Now I need a fireproof lab, help translating ancient alchemy texts, and enough control over my magic to keep from accidentally setting Haven Hollow on fire—all while juggling motherhood, friendships, and a town full of supernatural secrets.
Learning alchemy was never part of the plan.
Saving a dragon definitely wasn’t either.
