At the end of a third terrible year, five great nations struggle with unprecedented famine. What can they do when farms yield a fraction of their needs? Rivers contain few fish. Even the great herds of the steppes dwindle. Their world is dying, slowly claiming the lives of plants and animals alike, forcing humans to fight over the remnants.

Isolated in the west by a mountain range, small skirmishes break out between the Kingdom of Ekonae and Sabua Nation. Sonas Estuary, once the most abundant source of life in the world, declines to a worrying level. Such is the strain on their nations that the rulers agree to a duel to the death. The winner will possess the once shared resource in its entirety while the loser faces accelerated decline.

In the east, the Republic of Botlea, the largest and oldest nation, lacks the rich coastline possessed by Kendea and Lasai. The three ruling senator primes must decide if war with one or both of their neighbors can avert the mounting crisis.

With resources at an all-time low, every nation grows desperate. Many turn to the magical people who fall from the sky as babes. These so-called sky children possess the world's only magic and could be the key to humanity's survival. At the very least, they'll give any country who controls them an advantage in the forthcoming war.

Born of the Sky is an epic six part series. Battles will rage, sovereigns will fall, and heroes often won't prevail. Many will turn on one another, revealing the brutality of human nature. Complete series now available.
