The mountain man took one slow step forward, and my ex stumbled backwards and fell into the dirt.
He threw his hands up, begging not to be hurt.
‘Get up. And leave,’ the mountain man growled.
Then he turned back to me, reached out his hand, and growled,
‘I’ll take you home.’
