David himself is unable to investigate, as he’s aboard an Anunnaki craft and working in a diplomatic capacity, so his bodyguard, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Catharine Weldon, is dispatched by the President to Northern Canada to pinpoint the missile’s launch point and, if possible, recover a small scientific submarine that recently went missing while investigating suspicious activity on one of the largest lakes on the North American continent.
That night, the icy lake erupts into a violent confrontation between Catharine (with her hastily assembled contingent) and an unidentified saucer-shaped spacecraft under the command of the Anunnakis’ deadliest ancient enemy, who’d long been thought dead.
