‘Are you both packed?’ Summer asks as Zoe races around the apartment, packing not just for herself, but for her twin brother as well.
‘That’s what I’m trying to do!’ Zoe calls back from inside of Sunny’s room. ‘How many of this shirt do you OWN, Sunny? Seriously!’ she complains as she tosses all of them to the little robot that’s floating behind her. It rapidly folds and packs all of the shirts for her, putting them into Sunny’s bag.
‘I like that shirt!’ he says. He’s sitting on the bed, playing with Kodiak—or trying to play with Kodiak. Their little brother keeps turning this way and that, clearly realizing that something tragic is about to happen. ‘Kodie, it’s okay, buddy,’ Sunny says. ‘Big sis and big bro are going to go for a while, but we’re just a call away, you know?’
‘Don’t go!’ Kodiak says, reaching up and taking Sunny’s face in his hands. ‘Stay!’
‘I’d like to, buddy, but we’ve got work to do in the real world. You know all of those trees I showed you? I’m going to go out and make sure that they’re growing big and happy,'' Sunny says.
‘I grow big and happy!’ Kodiak says.
‘I know you will,’ Sunny agrees, grinning. ‘But you have Mommy and Daddy to make sure you do.’
