The Depths of Her Soul

Marianna Sinclair has lived years in England, separated from her family and regarded only as an unpaid servant to her aunt and uncle, waiting for something better to come along. She is overjoyed when her brother comes to collect her, returning her to Scotland. Yet, her thrill is quickly diminished when she learns she’s to wed the son of a local landowner, the detestable Walter Ramsay. But even this is overshadowed as her traveling party is pursued by a fierce Highlander army. Her dismay becomes outright fear when her own brother abandons her to the coming army while he makes his escape.

Lachlan Maitland spent seven months as a prisoner of the English and bears the scars of their brutality, inside and out. He wants only to be at King Robert Bruce’s side, winning Scotland’s freedom, not chasing the bandits terrorizing the Highlands. His pursuit leads him to the half-English Mari Sinclair, and once he discovers she is betrothed to the Maitlands’ longtime enemy, he eagerly kidnaps her, hoping to trade her to the Ramsays for peace in the Highlands.

He quickly decides that she is the most confounding captive he has ever known, sweet and beyond brave, with kisses that raise long-dead hope inside Lachlan. She will challenge every bit of rage that he’s clung to over the years, one smile and one kiss at a time. Soon, he regrets that he’s made any deal with the Ramsays to trade her for peace, for Lachlan is not sure he can ever let her go.

The Truth of Her Heart

On the run from the horrid man to whom her father has betrothed her, Maggie Bryce is caught in a wild winter storm, forced to take refuge in a highland cave.

Iain McEwen and his men are chasing the scourge of the Highlands known only as Alpin, infamous for the horrific crimes he’s visited upon Caithness, when they stumble upon a near frozen body in a cave on the side of a hill. He’s shocked to discover it’s a woman, and a bonny one at that.

It’s only a few days trapped in the caves, but Iain and Maggie are swiftly and eagerly drawn to each other. But her betrothed finds her when the storm clears, and Iain has no choice but to let her go.

The months that pass until Iain sees Maggie again are not kind to either of them. When he does find her, she is so very different from the cheery enchantress he’d met in the caves during that fateful storm. Iain vows never to fail Maggie again and is determined to convince her that she can trust both him and his love.

The Love of Her Life

Alec MacBriar crashes into the cottage of a healer and drops his wounded captain onto the table, commanding that the woman save his friend. Katie Oliver is terrified of the giants in her small home, but has no choice but to comply, hoping only to tend the wounded man and send them on their way, praying they cause no trouble to her or her son.

Her existence is meager, but for her son’s sake Katie faces each new day with a brave conviction that things will get better. The goliaths in her home are sorely testing her resolve, especially Alec MacBriar with his intense gaze and fierce ways.

When Katie is threatened by a local man, Alec is compelled by his own captain to bring Katie and her son with them to their home in the Highlands. He’ll keep his promise to his captain, but he wants nothing to do with Katie Oliver and her moody blue eyes or her charming child.

At Swordmair, Katie’s life is far better and richer. In fact, it would be near perfect if not for the very disagreeable attraction she felt for Alec MacBriar and his bone-melting kisses.
