Lily didn't really mean it the way it might look on paper. She was really telling me, "This is important to me."
When she said it, I knew I'd do whatever she wanted. She was my best friend, and I loved her to pieces besides. I knew she felt the same way about me.
What she wanted was, well, a little crazy and probably extremely foolish.
Of course, I said, "Yes".
