Five hundred years ago, I was one of the most powerful warships ever built. Then I murdered my crew, destroyed the fleet I was supposed to protect, massacred sixty thousand civilians, and became the monster parents used to frighten their children.
Bit of a reputational setback.
Now I’m awake again, I have a new crew, and I’ve made them a promise: the Dominion will never take their freedom.
There is, admittedly, a small logistical problem: the Dominion has hundreds of warships.
So I’ve decided to steal theirs.
What follows involves stolen cruisers, liberated planets, increasingly irritated Dominion admirals, several extremely satisfying explosions, and a rebellion growing considerably faster than anyone planned. Especially me.
Unfortunately, the Dominion has finally realized I’m more than an annoying relic with excellent cheekbones. They’re sending fleets to destroy us, and every victory makes the next battle larger, bloodier, and harder to survive.
So if an empire wants a war with me?
Fine.
I’ve been told I’m very good at those.
