When ex-lawman Jim Williams accepts the post of security officer on the MISSOURI PALACE river-boat, he finds himself embroiled in a power struggle between Captain J.D. Harris and Jake Farrell, the murderous boss of Willow Flats, who will stop at nothing to add the giant sidepaddler to his fleet. Williams knows that with no one to back him up in a straight fight with Farrell's hired killers, he must hit them first and hit them hard to get out alive.
