Arm-wrestling, Arcades, and Absolutely no Chance of a Quiet Holiday!

A trip to Aberystwyth for a much-needed seaside break soon turns anything but relaxing when Max and Min discover a body near their favourite stop-off, the red kite centre. While hundreds of birds swoop gracefully over the lake at feeding time, somewhere up on the hill something far less majestic is taking place… namely murder.

Before they can even finish their bacon baps, the gang are dragged headfirst into a baffling mystery involving a dead giant, a fiercely competitive arm-wrestling championship in the town, and enough suspicious characters to fill every caravan park in West Wales.

Max and Min have other concerns too. The flashing lights and jingling coins of the pier arcade have triggered Anxious' gambling addiction so badly that he's lost three pounds and possibly his dignity on the 2p machines. Meanwhile, Max is determined to cook hearty one-pot seaside wonders despite the coastal wind and the temptation of more fish and chips.

Between dodging angry competitors with tree-trunk arms, gawping at breathtaking starling murmurations over the pier, and eating enough ice-cream to bankrupt a dairy farm, the gang slowly realise something much darker is lurking beneath Aberystwyth’s cheerful seaside charm.

And then another body turns up.

With the arm-wrestling finals fast approaching, and tensions on the promenade reaching boiling point, Max, Min, and Anxious must untangle a web of grudges, secrets, and broken bones before the killer strikes again. But with their missing friend, Moose, still nowhere to be found, and the smell of fish and chips constantly distracting everyone, this might just be the case that finally defeats them.

Snapped bones, disgruntled competitors, and way too many suspicious characters make this the hardest case they've ever tried to solve.

Contains a stunning one-pot recipe at the end. Perfect for camping, vanlife, or anyone who wants a great meal without all the washing up!

A journey of freedom, friendship, and murder mystery in the beautiful British countryside.
