I’m off to college. Hopefully I will not see my school bullies. I was picked on all of my life, from grade school to high school. In my life it’s just me and my Aunt. Well technically my parents best friend. The three of them grew up in the system. I know all of this from my mother’s journals she kept. There’s over two hundred of them and I’m still reading.
I’m going to school to become a chef. I want to own a private restaurant. One where you get my full attention and top notch service. I met a young man, Samuel, who became my best friend. We have a few things in common. One being we both enjoy reality shows. He talks me into going on a trip to the beach. He wants to see the famous house they lived in.
Sam and I are in line to ride a ride on the boardwalk when some stranger starts to harass me. I try my best to ignore the guy. He follows us as we are walking by a bar. I stop to read the sign on the window. The guy is loud and crazy. I keep saying no, next thing I see is the guy on the ground.What’s a girl to do when she comes eye to eye with her savior and her heart skips many beats?

When you’re the child in the Walker family you are expected to follow in the footsteps of all of the men in the family, to become a roughneck. I have been on several rigs from birth until the week I decided that being a roughneck wasn’t for me. My father let me join the ROTC. Little did he know that I was joining the Corp.
My mother cried the day I left for service. My father disowned me. As did the rest of my family, all but my little sister Austin. Yeah Texas runs in our veins. I’m Dallas, brother Houston, and sister Austin. My sister wrote letters to me while I was gone. They piled up when I was a captive. John, Justice, and Adam saved me, while the rest of the team left. We fought our way back to the states.
I lived in a shitty motel in Pennsylvania. It was just a place to shower. I hated small spaces. When John called I ran to join his MC. I was good with numbers and became the Treasurer. We went to Seaside often. On one of those trips I’m at the Wolf’s Den as a Bouncer. I hear a girl telling a guy no over and over again. When I knock him out and look at her, my heart, mind, and soul knows she is mine.
