After a bit of impromptu Kaiju-wrangling, life in Arkley had settled back down quite nicely.
In fact, my biggest worry of late has been navigating the gossip about me stepping out with Edie's teacher. That, and surviving our cutthroat morning rounds of the Floor is Lava.
But then, just as the town was gearing up for the Spring Carnival, some tentacled Abyssal sea-beast decided to set up camp in the harbor. Oh, and a rogue government hit squad started taking potshots at me from the treeline.
Which, frankly, I find rude.
And to top it off, our local shape-shifting earth spirit — yes, the bear, still baking a brilliant loaf — now insists the only way to usher in spring involves a rather… intimate, behind-closed-doors ritual with yours truly.
So, my schedule is suddenly looking a bit packed.
I'll just have to juggle saving the carnival, dodging sniper fire, and keeping our neighborhood earth spirit properly satisfied.
Time to remind the cosmos why a WarMage is not to be trifled with. Before anyone so much as looks at Edie wrong.
