One of the most nightmarish places in the world, you say? Well, it turns out it's not a wall-to-wall nightmare. Even deep in the heart of these perilous lands, people live and even build towns. They are the place’s best kept secret. No one gets to see them. Almost no one.
There are only two rules here, but they're non-negotiable: tread lightlyvery lightlyand never wake the Forbidden Desert. And if you need to go pay someone a visit, don't just take any leisurely strolls. There are other ways to do that. Stranger ways, yes, but that's how they roll over here. Do otherwise at your own peril. You’ll live just long enough to regret it.
But these are the locals’ problems and rules. Me? I'm just passing through.
