Summer in Castillo
(2026)(The seventh book in the Karen McLaren Cosy Mystery series)
A novel by Clara Seacroft
Summer on the Costa del Sol. With the soaring temperatures, the area which Karen and her friends know and love suddenly looks almost unrecognisable. Castillo is suddenly under siege from expat tourists who’ve arrived in their droves for sea, sand, sunshine and any other distractions on offer.
Among the new arrivals are the board members of Bellona Productions. The women are young, beautiful, and enormously successful. They’re in town to celebrate the launch of a new product line, and to prepare for their company being floated on the stock market.
But in the early morning, one of the women is found dead on the beach. At first, Comisario Hernandez and his police force assume she opted for an ill-advised swim in the Mediterranean - that she over-indulged at a party the night before.
Karen, however, is unconvinced
Could she and the eccentric members of the Jimi Hendrix Supper Club be looking at a murder? If so, who would want to kill the young businesswoman, and why? Could there be a connection that runs beyond the confines of Castillo?
To uncover the truth, Karen must delve into the past of Bellona Productions; determine exactly why the young women are in Spain, and face an array of people determined to derail the investigation.
Can she get to the truth before the killer departs and fades into the Spanish sunset?
Find out in Summer In Castillo, the seventh book in the Karen McLaren Cosy Mystery series. Perfect for fans of Richard Osman, Anthony Horowitz, and MC Beaton.
