Jake Sheward had a problem with rustlers – an entire valley filled with them! So he tried to hire Shane Preston and Jonah Jones to get rid of them for him. But when Shane and Jonah looked a little deeper into the matter, they found that the truth was very different.
Telling Sheward they didn’t wage war on innocent nesters – for that’s what the rancher’s ‘rustlers really were – they decided to quit the valley and find work elsewhere.
But turning their backs on folks who needed help was something neither gunfighter could do. Especially when they heard that Sheward had hired the two homidical Graves brothers, Pike and Lane, to do his dirty work for him.
When the Graves boys started slaughtering the nesters, however, there was nothing Shane and Jonah could do to save them … not from behind the bars of a cell!
