Faces in the Dust

Pinkerton detective Ward Loman rode into Coldwater, Texas, hunting down the killer Leo Slattery. But there was trouble on the local range involving Leo's family, headed by Hub Slattery, owner of the HS ranch. In the worsening situation Loman rescues Kate Hesp, and is plunged into a deadly sequence of events with its origins in the war between North and South, involving the disappearance of a gold shipment. As Loman expected, gunsmoke and death would be the outcome.
