Luckily, Lola has Detective Constable Kirstie Campbell to back her up. Kirstie is committed to the job, and plays by the book.
THE SETTING
Located on the banks of the River Clyde, Glasgow is a city of many different faces, from gritty and unsettling, to modern and slick. Grand Victorian terraces and glossy modern developments sit just streets away from forgotten lanes, industrial estates, and pockets of deep green that swallow sound and light. It rains a lot: clouds often cover the city, and citizens hunch as they hurry about their business. Still, people are very friendly and like a good time. For DCI Lola Harris, Glasgow is both battleground and home — a city where loyalty runs deep, corruption can wear a friendly face, and the truth is rarely what it first appears.
