The timer was ticking for Leonidas. Having just completed the All Trials, he knew the Specter of Aegis and Wings of Paragon were both after him. But before he could even begin to deal with that, he had not one, but two infuriated Higher Gods to handle. Caught between the wrath of the Forged Urouge and the Radiant Belladonna, Leonidas had to find a way to survive with the backing of a mere Middle God.
This was nothing new for the last remaining Fallen Apostle on a world of mortals. What was new were lost ties and familial bonds turning to bloody battles to the death, the sudden loss of his Fallen Apostle status that had taken him so very far, and worst of all, the man responsible for his mother's death taking advantage of the chaos to grow more powerful than any Apostle had ever grown on their small, secluded island.
How would Leonidas face his own grandmother''the woman who gave him his mother, and yet stood by and did nothing as her life spiraled toward death?
How would he face his mentor turning his back on him, when he knew it was entirely his own fault?
