I finally have the chance to buy my own property and turn it into the B&B I’ve been dreaming of for years. But there are snags in the financing side. Thanks to my loser ex, I can’t qualify for a loan anywhere near the amount I need to renovate the mansion.
But I’m going to find a way. There has to be something I can do to make this work and I’ll move Heaven and Earth to get there.
When I get word that someone else is interested in the property I so desperately want, my heart sinks. Turns out, the mayor, David Pulliam, plans to buy my mansion before I can come up with the money.
I went to high school with him. He was intimidating then and the same is true now. He’s a grump and a bit of a loner. Oh he can turn it on when he needs to, but deep down I don’t think he likes people at all.
