ZOMBIELAND x WARM BODIES

The world isn't broken. Just busted up a little thanks to the fleshers. They're not zombies.
For nearly a year, Ashleigh Starr has chained up her half-flesher fiancé at night, hiding him from her town patriarchy. With her parents gone, Garrett is all Ash has. Determined not to lose him, Ash spends her days hunting down fleshers and bringing their blood ― and sometimes organs ― to the town veterinarian, Hazel: a former infectious diseases scientist and Ash's only ally.
Since the government and military stay in big cities to keep the disease at bay, Ash's rural stick town Spector is left to the mayor and his militia: The Watchers. Ash tries to stay under their radar. Until Lucius, lead Watcher and Garrett's former best friend, catches Ash outside the city gates. Now, his mayor father tasks him with protecting her.
After Ash procures a live flesher for Hazel's ongoing cure research, a city breach reveals Ash is flesher-immune. Now, Lucius is obsessed with Ash...and her blood. When the investigation into the breach leads right back to Hazel's tests, Lucius uses the scientist as bait for Ash to join in a sick initiation game. If she survives this trial by fire, she becomes Lucius's prize. If not, she will lose Garrett forever. Or will one wannabe female pirate and a fairy-haired semi-clairvoyant be her saving grace?
