After surviving the "Y2K bug," the now-married Russell and Hanna have returned to what they hope will be a normal life. But those responsible for the Y2K bug have not forgotten the parts Russell and Hanna played in their failure. Paul, having returned to work for the CIA, fears the U.S. may be vulnerable to another computer attack, and he asks Hanna to look into it. Hanna discovers the Raptor Virus, a bug that is in an array of control chips planted in telecommunication switches and routers throughout the world. The Chinese decide Hanna is getting too close, and they set her up. Knowing that they are being pursued, Hanna and Russell travel to Big Bend, but the Chinese are stalking them. The chase is on as the CIA tries to protect Hanna and her family from the sinister forces behind the Raptor Virus.
