Rook and Cordelia have been summoned to the vampire court, but can they survive once they’re there?
Rook did something expressly forbidden by turning Cordelia into a vampire, now they have to answer to the King and Queen of the Vampire Court. As though that wasn’t enough there’s the Blood Vow that Cordelia has to swear to Rook and the King has demanded that they do something called the Trial of Blood, which has the whole court tittering with excitement.
The King has given Cordelia one month to learn the ropes before the Trial of Blood. She has to prove to the King and Queen that she understands how to live at court as well as live as a vampire in general. She and Rook both have to prove that they are true mates or face execution for breaking the taboo of turning a human without the court’s permission. No pressure…it’s just their immortal lives at stake.
