A novel by Jamie Lee Scott
REST IN FLEECEA Ravenwood Inn Mystery (Book 4)
Della Graves thought hosting a "Knitting and Spirits Weekend" would be wonderfully boring. Peaceful, even. Just a group of nice ladies clicking needles and sipping tea while occasionally chatting with Ravenwood Inn's resident ghosts. What could possibly go wrong?
Murder, apparently. With ethereal yarn.
When the president of the Haunted Hooks knitting club is found strangled with yarn that witnesses swear was being knitted by invisible hands, Della's relaxing weekend unravels faster than a cheap sweater. The victim had been creating a "spirit sweater" using a pattern she claimed was whispered to her by Ravenwood's ghostsa pattern that contains a coded message about a fifty-year-old murder.
Now Della must navigate the surprisingly cutthroat world of competitive knitting, where dropped stitches can end friendships and using the wrong weight yarn is grounds for social exile. Her suspects include a yarn store owner with a deadly secret, a knitting blogger who'd kill for exclusive patterns, and an entire club of women who know far too many creative uses for knitting needles.
To make matters worse, Eddie the ghost has decided to learn knitting, resulting in spectral yarn tangles that are tripping guests and creating macramé where it shouldn't exist. The haunted saltshaker has taken to hiding in yarn baskets. And Room 13 is doing something deeply disturbing with crochet hooks.
With Sheriff Will Grayson tangled up in yarn-based evidence and her best friend Marnie documenting the chaos for her "Libraries and Murders" blog, Della must unravel a twisted tale of fiber arts feuds, ghostly patterns, and why someone would kill to keep a fifty-year-old secret from being purled to light.
One thing's for certainat Ravenwood Inn, even knitting can be murder.
"Hilarious and clever! Della Graves knits together humor, ghosts, and murder in a pattern that will keep you in stitches. Warning: You may never look at yarn the same way again."
