Mardi Gras is a time of celebration, for most. But not for the poor victims of the killer that has been terrorizing the French Quarter every year.
Agent Buckley was all too familiar with the ‘Mardi Gras Murderer’, as the press named him. The killer has been at the top of the FBI’s Most Wanted list for years. For Buck, he’s “the one that got away”.
But this year was different. This year I was on the case with Buck, hunting the killer.
The killer must have taken that as a challenge because his sights turned to me!
The hunter became the prey.
Taunted and stalked by this mad man, I was relentless in my pursuit. He would not intimidate me!
But time was running out. Once the celebrations were over, he would disappear for another year.
It would come down to who was the better hunter.
Would I be able to snare this monster?
