In the summer of 1989, Kari and her six friends head to Shallow Lake Campground, in the Cypress Hills section, tucked deep between towering trees and shadowed mountains. It’s supposed to be a carefree escape.
Until the first night, when one of them disappears.
At first, they blame the wilderness. Bears. Mountain lions. The kind of dangers everyone warns you about. But then someone slashes all the campers tires, and more of them start to vanish.
