A Story by

I know how to steal a horse.
I know how to bargain with fae.
I know how to disappear.

I have no idea what to do with a princess who refuses to let me do any of those things.

Ten years ago, I made bargains with the fae to keep my younger sister safe. Every deal bought Poppy a little more freedom and left another piece of my own life in the court's hands.

I never expected those bargains to come due.

Then I stole a horse for the fae, only to have a princess convince me not to hand it over. Now the court has come looking for another way to collect, and Poppy is the collateral.

So we're riding south on Penelope's horse, trying to reach my sister before the court does. A hound is on our trail, we're running low on money, and the horse has opinions about everything.

And falling for the princess was never part of the plan.

I know better than to want a princess. Penelope knows better than to trust a horse thief.

Unfortunately, neither of us has ever been particularly good at doing what we're supposed to.

I've spent ten years believing that keeping the people I love safe means sacrificing whatever it takes.

But saving the people you love and letting them stand beside you are two very different things.

A gothic-tinged cozy romantasy with bite, banter, slow-burn fae romance, and one very opinionated horse.

Genre: Paranormal Romance
