The world didn’t end.
It just became a place where trusting the wrong person could get you killed.

Gage has spent the last two years surviving one day at a time. He made a promise to a dying wife to keep trying, and every day since has been the same motion of staying alive without much of a reason. He doesn’t expect the world to hand him anything worth stopping for.

He doesn’t rescue strangers. He doesn’t take unnecessary risks. And he definitely doesn''t need another reason to lose someone.

Then he finds Norah collapsed on the floor of an abandoned pharmacy.

Norah has spent years fighting to stay alive, scavenging the insulin that stands between her and death. But medicine isn’t the only thing keeping her going. Somewhere beyond armed checkpoints and ruined towns, her brother may still be waiting.

Turning back has never been an option.

When violent scavengers arrive, the abandoned pharmacy becomes a trap. Outnumbered, outgunned, and running out of time, Gage and Norah must decide whether trusting a stranger is worth risking the little they have left.

Because sometimes surviving isn’t enough.

Sometimes finding a reason to keep moving forward is what brings you back to life.
