(2025)(A book in the Willowbrook Ridge Holiday Special series)

Fergus:
One night a week, I come to The Hollow Oak for a meal and a moment of peace. But tonight, the place is a madhouseSt. Patrick’s Day chaos, drunken laughter, and too much noise. I just want to eat in peace. Then she walks up. Too young. Too sweet. Too damn beautiful. Wearing a shamrock-green shirt that says Kiss Me, I’m Irishand asking me to do just that.
It has to be a bet, a joke. She’s got two friends watching, probably waiting to laugh when I turn her down. But the way she looks at me? Soft, nervous, hopeful? It makes me forget every reason to say no. One kiss should mean nothing. But with Sadie? It’s about to mean everything.
Sadie:
I’m tired of being the shy, quiet girl. Tonight, I want to be bold, to have fun, to stop overthinking everything. My friends encourage me to start smalljust ask someone for a kiss. And when I spot the grumpy man in the corner, I figure he’ll say no, and I can laugh it off and run away like I always do.
He doesn’t say no. He kisses me. And suddenly, one kiss isn’t enough.
I don’t want the night to end, but I can’t exactly tell him the truththat I shouldn’t even be at this bar, or that I’ve been waiting for the right man to finally claim my innocence. So I lie. Say I don’t have a ride home. Like that, I’m in the passenger seat of a cop’s car, my heart racing for an entirely different reason.
When we pull up to my apartment, I do something reckless. I invite him inside. And the real shock? He says yes.
I don’t know if this is a mistake or the best decision of my life but I know one thingtonight, I’m his.
Genre: Romance
