The war is over. Troy has fallen. And Odysseus, king of Ithaca and architect of the war's brutal victory, turns his fleet toward home, not knowing the harrowing journey that lies ahead.
When he earns the wrath of Poseidon, storms scatter his ships. Monsters rise from the deep and men vanish beneath waves. With every trial, the cost of survival grows steeper, and honor erodes as Odysseus comes to understand the man who reaches Ithaca may not be the one who left its shores.
But in Ithaca, Penelope fights a different kind of war.
With Odysseus gone, wolves have come to the kingdom to claim its throne and queen. Led by ruthless Antinous, they camp on Ithaca’s shores and abuse its wealth and people while Penelope works tirelessly to preserve peace and raise their son, Telemachus.
When Odysseus at last sets foot on Ithaca, he arrives not as a king but as a grief-worn outcast. His men, gone. His palace, overrun. His wife and son, besieged by strange men.
But for every ruin, there is a reckoning...
