Jonathan Hayes has a great life -- a loving wife, two great kids, and dreams that are just starting to come true. All that changes when the police show up at his front door in force, arresting him for the murder of a young woman. Jonathan is innocent. He knows this. His wife, Joan, knows this. But the police don't seem to care. It's as though they have already tried and convicted him -- and when he sees their evidence, he realizes why. Their evidence demonstrates conclusively that he is indeed the murderer. But all their evidence is fake. When he eventually proves this, he returns home, only to find that his troubles have just begun. His wife is murdered in her sculpture studio, and Jonathan is devastated. Heartbroken, he does the only thing left that he can do. He turns to magic in a desperate attempt to find the real killer and avenge his wife.
