Falling Into You

(2018)
A novel by

One night. New York on lockdown thanks to a storm and two people stuck in a hotel waiting it out. One night: that's all Anna and Daniel had before going back to their normal lives thousands of miles away, promising never to get in contact again. Yet there's a whisper at the back of both of their minds: how many chances do you get in life of meeting the right person? What if you make the wrong decision when you walk away?

Five years later, the life that Anna returned to has fallen apart. Bearing the scars of a relationship that went terribly wrong, she runs to the only place she can think - nothing more than a name on a tattered scrap of paper, she heads for Apollo Bay. A strip of sand on the tip of Australia, facing into the rolling southern ocean. It was the place that once saved Daniel, and maybe it can save her now. When Daniel arrives there too, bearing his own troubles, it seems like Apollo Bay might be the place to heal them both.

But sometimes the reality of the present is harder to handle than dreams of the past. Anna and Daniel must discover if they can cope with who they have both become in the intervening years. Can trust ever grow where secrets have lived or should the past be buried for once and for all?
