Natasha Simmons
Natasha Simmons was born and raised in Beaumont, TX. Even as a kid she spent much of her spare time writing stories and poems. She has traveled and lived all over the world with the military and is currently an educator in Texas. She is a graduate of University of Maryland University College with a degree in English as well as a master's degree in educational leadership in technology.
While taking a creative writing class in college, she had an assignment to write a short story using dialogue. At the time, she was working as a teacher's assistant in New Orleans. Her supervising teacher read the story and wanted to know what happened with the characters. After a while, so did she. Thus was the birth of her debut novel, Simple Pleasures, in which the prologue is the original short story.
