You’d think a vacation at a fancy beach resort would mean sunshine, naps, and absolutely no dead bodies.
You’d be wrong.
When Odelia and Chase decide to take a relaxing getaway at the Hampton Cove Resort & Spa, Dooley and I are supposed to keep an eye on Grace while our humans enjoy some well-deserved couple time. Which sounds easy enough. After all, how much trouble can a luxury resort cause?
As it turns out… quite a lot.
First, Dooley nearly drowns while attempting a heroic pool rescue that nobody asked for. Then a woman gets tossed off a balcony right in front of our eyes—luckily landing in the pool instead of the pavement. And just when things couldn’t possibly get worse, a paddleboarder washes up on the beach missing an arm.
Which, if you ask me, is not the kind of thing you want to see on vacation.
With suspicious guests, mysterious hotel staff, and a resort that’s suddenly starting to look a lot less relaxing, it’s up to me (with Dooley panicking beside me, as usual) to figure out what’s really going on before someone else ends up floating in the pool—or worse.
Because one thing I know for sure: this ‘vacation’ is about to turn into another full-blown Hampton Cove mystery.
