What happens after the Happy Ever After?

Georgina Dickens, Gigi to her friends, works as a housekeeper at the Giltmore, a prestigious five-star hotel on Fifth Avenue in New York. Life hasn’t always been kind to Gigi: her mother died when she was ten, and her father was killed on the eve of Gigi’s eighteenth birthday, forcing her to abandon her dreams of going to college to look after her sister Sunny instead.

But Gigi loves her job, and considers the Giltmore her second home, and her co-workers her family. Her dating life is nonexistent, though. Between her job and taking care of an increasingly recalcitrant and rebellious Sunny, she has put that part of her life on hold. So when one day a handsome young European prince favors the five-star hotel with his patronage, it comes as a big surprise to Gigi when she catches his eye and he asks her out on a date. A whirlwind romance quickly ensues, and Gigi and Sunny are whisked away to Liebenstein, a small kingdom at the foot of the Swiss Alps, for the fairy-tale wedding of the century.

Unfortunately not everything is as it seems, and soon dark clouds gather overhead, threatening her happily-ever-after life as a princess. Not everyone at the palace is happy with Gigi’s arrival, and when she discovers a shocking secret lurking at the heart of the Alpine kingdom, even her newly acquired status as a royal and future queen won’t guarantee her or her sister’s safety.

Once more Gigi will be forced to rely on an inner strength that has served her well throughout her young life, and will discover that sometimes help comes from the most unexpected places.
