The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Cat, Volume 4
(2026)(The fourth book in the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Cat series)
A collection of stories by Patricia Srigley
A humorous cozy mystery starring the world’s most famous detective, and his cat. Volume 4
Sherlock Holmes’ crucial new case is one he must solve, if he is to retain his standing as London’s Greatest Detective. His investigation begins with an ocean voyage to the Americas. Cats do not favour water. His feline detecting companion, Cat Watson, is no exception, so he is not a happy cat. A broken-hearted, and soon to be very seasick, Dr. Watson is an unforeseen, last-minute addition to their detecting party.
The ocean crossing is not smooth sailing. One might even call it a catastrophe. Sherlock discovers a prominent scientist harpooned to the main mast. His investigation into the murder is hampered by the ship’s captain, who has gone quite bananas. Alas, he is not the only one. The cause of the odd affliction is yet another mystery to be solved, on a ship that is riddled with riddles.
When a violent gale blows the ship far off course, a host of new mysteries, and possibly a werewolf or two, welcome Sherlock Holmes to otherwise friendly Canadian shores. It is almost as if they have been prowling the water’s edge, waiting for him to wade ashore and solve them.
How many mysteries can one detective solve in one fell swoop? If that detective is Sherlock Holmes, who knows, eh?
